The first independent gambling guide
to the best online casinos!
Online Casinos on a Roll
Online casinos have
recently been in the news, due to bills attempting to be passed in U.S.
Senate, which will ultimately strangle the online casinos industry in
America. These news stories have been highlighting negative aspects of
gambling, and drawing attention to problems that have been around long
before the online casinos came into business.
Gambling has always been perceived as seedy and the gambling world
having all sorts of negative connotations attached to it, for example
money laundering and problem gambling. These problems have been in
existence for almost as long as gambling and this is not something
created by the online casinos industry itself.
With all the momentum behind the anti gambling debate one would believe
that we are living in a world of virtue and propriety and all those
wishing to gamble should be institutionalized, but when we look at
figures it becomes apparent that the online casinos industry is
expanding at a runaway pace.
Reports from leading Financial Analysts show that the online casinos
industry has grown by 8% but many online casinos claim that they have
expanded 25-50%. In as little as 10 years the online casinos industry
has become an entirely independent sector of the gaming industry and a
whole new area of software development has emerged due to the demands of
thousands of websites. We are now seeing conferences and conventions
being held on a monthly basis to keep abreast of this growing industry.
There are so many new gamers flooding the market that online casinos
have been taking steps to accommodate them, and competition to lure
potential gamers to websites means that the online casinos are pulling
out all the stops to get the new customers. Websites are offering larger
sign-up bonuses and increasing jackpot prizes to the millions of dollars
in the fight for these new customers.
The online casinos industry generates about $12 billion and when broken
down, this figure shows that more than half of this number is generated
by U.S. customers and is rising all the time.
Although there are so many gambling opponents, many feel that issues
such as gambling are a persons right. Prohibition did not stop everybody
drinking and banning online casinos will not stop gambling. Of course
there are issues that need to be addressed, such as underage gambling,
we know that gambling in online casinos is easier for a minor than going
into a land based casino.
Many – even those losing business to the internet casinos – feel that
the only option is to legalize the industry and by regulating everything
we will gain control of the situation and the negative aspects can be
brought into line. These online casinos can then be taxed and millions
of dollars would be generated, not to mention all the jobs opportunities
that would be created for American Citizens.
It appears that gambling online is here to stay and with a little
attention, will become the respectable entity that it wants to be.
